Union St. water main replacement
The water main on the west side of the street and the center is being replaced. Construction is occurring in increments of @1,000 feet at a time. The SCDOT also has already patched some of the rougher spots in preparation for repaving (9/1/2025). After that the entire street will be repaved. Union St. is known for its terrible road conditions on the outside lanes. We use it a lot to get out of town. Be careful now that the outside lane going out of town is now one lane for a while. Spartanburg Water is in charge of the project. See link for more of course.
