Met with several legislators about DUIE bill.
Safety committee is working on billboards for DUIE awareness.

Improving visibility: Freewheelers have good compliance blinking lights and hi-viz apparel. This year, the club recommends front blinking lights (daytime) in addition to rear blinkers (daytime)

Ride leaders are reminded to correct bad behavior, but point out good
behavior.

The new kit design was approved.

2018 Rides: (Karl will publish them on the website)
Monday—Anderson Farm Ride
Tuesday—Watermelon Ride
Wednesday—Lake Bowen, Duncan Park, maybe Trek ride
Thursday—Reidville, Climbing Ride until 5/14, Strawberry Hill, Freight Yard
Saturday—Trek Ride (not a FW ride),
Sunday—Rocky Branch, Ralph’s Ride from Mayfair

We need a new meeting room effective June. The Herald Journal is leasing out the room we use starting in mid May. Possible venues to investigate: USC Upstate, Spartanburg Methodist College, and a few others were mentioned. Karl will investigate.

Paul, PCC update: National Bike Summit in Washington DC begins today.
Vulnerable Road User bill subcommittee is holding hearings with testimony. The bill must be voted out of the house by 4/10/18 to go to the Senate. Mr. Loftus in Greenville continues to attempt to block the Vulnerable User bill.
