Climb to Conquer Cancer
This week’s AOMM training ride will be John Cash’s annual ride to benefit the Gibbs cancer survivorship program. Join John for some fun and suffering. It’s a great training ride for Mitchell and you can go up (suffering) and down (the fun part !!!) as many times as you like. Last year I did 7 trips and hope to do at least 8 this year.
Saluda Grade – Approximately 4 miles, 1060′ of vertical and a 5% grade on average. Road is in great shape.
If you want to help me spend some of my money, come on out and I’ll donate $1 for every rider’s trip up Saluda Grade (up to $100). Donations are tax deductible.
When: Saturday April 29th at 8:00 am for the official start. If that’s too early for you come when you can.
Where: Caro Mi restaurant on Hwy 176 – From Tryon stay on Hwy 176 towards Saluda and Caro Mi will be on the left at the base of the Saluda Grade climb.
Food: John has some pizza and snacks or you can bring your own and leave in your car.
